2017 Demo Reel

I’ve recently uploaded my brand new soundtrack demo reel to YouTube (listen here). This reel focuses on my video game soundtracks, and features several recent games as well as some upcoming releases. Platforms include mobile, console, and PC. Keep an eye on the reel; I will be updating the track listings as new games are released!

As many of you know, I also do a considerable amount of sound design work, and have been increasingly added focus towards sound design to better position myself as an all-in-one audio provider. Many of my recent collaborations have benefited from this, as communications are streamlined and both music and sound design have an extremely tight and coherent sound. I am in the process of putting together a sound design reel to showcase some of my work; if anyone is interested in seeing a sound design reel in the meantime, feel free to reach out to me and we’ll go from there!

Gemini Strike Now Available on Google Play!

For those of you not familiar with the game, Gemini Strike is an arcade-shooter-rpg hybrid that’s a blast to play. This was a hit on the iOS app store, and we’re really excited to bring this over to Google Play.

I’m especially proud of the soundtrack and sound design for this one. We used a modified version of Sinjid’s sound system (dubbed “Canary”) to bring a really adaptive soundtrack to the gameplay. I was also able to take a stab at an orchestra/dubstep fusion track!

And perhaps best of all — it’s a F2P title (and NOT pay to win). Players who are a fan of shooters/RPG-style games should give it a try. Here’s what TouchArcade had to say about the soundtrack:

“I have to mention the awesome music which ranges from classical opera to futuristic space tunes. The coolest, however, is listening to a track and having the bass drop at the sight of a big boss (which are pretty awesome fights in their own right).”

-Touch Arcade

You can download Gemini Strike on the Google Play store.

Website Updates; New music and exciting game projects!

website updates; SEO

Recently I’ve been going over the website and updating information, as well as giving it a subtle facelift. Among those changes are general search engine optimization (SEO) updates. Back when I started this website (in 2006), SEO was pretty straight-forward — web developers had a few big things to make sure they did (like fill out the metadata information), and they were largely good to go. Fast forward to 2017, and it’s a completely different world. Search engines have become increasingly sophisticated, and SEO has become an art in and of itself. Over the coming months I’ll be making mostly “under-the-hood” changes to the website in hopes to boost the site’s search ranking. If you’d like to help — please click the Facebook “like” button at the top-right hand corner of the site. I’m thinking about doing some sort of small giveaway to generate buzz (OST giveaway or something).

In other news, 2017 is shaping up to be a pretty fun year for releases! My friends at Armor Games have launched a snazzy new website for their larger mobile and PC releases (https://armorgamesstudios.com/). It’s a very slick presentation of current and upcoming releases by Armor Games (like Sonny, which was released in January for iOS). I’ve got some exciting game projects in the pipeline — I’m looking forward to writing more about them when the time comes!
